Winter Garden Slab  CP-#3362

Basecoat:  Basecoat #750 Bisque Primer and antique with #740 Walnut and #704 Taupe mix and Wipe Back.  Use #760 Antique Media to Highlight.

Slab/Rock base:  Apply #701 Black, #704 Taupe, and #713 Primrose mix to background of slab and if using a rock base, to the rock base.  Blend using #760 Antique Media.  Rouge some #711 Sapphire on slab/rock base.

Wipe back to white:  Wipe Gloves, Snowlady, and Fence back to white using #760 Antique Media.

Bottom part of Scene on slab:  Apply #740 Walnut to bottom and wipe back.  Highlight with #703 Spiced Brown.   Shadow with #701 Black.

Fence:  Apply #701 Black to fence.  Wipe back to white using #760 Antique Media.  Shadow with #701 Black just around edges of fence parts to bring fence forward in scene.

Birdhouse Post, Sign, & Sign Post:  Apply #740 Walnut to sign post and birdhouses post and Pat Back.  Highlight #706 Tangerine.  Apply #707 Evergreen to Sign and wipe back.  Apply to checks located at bottom of sign with #902 Black and #900 White.  Paint letters on sign with #902 Black (or just leave #740 Walnut in Letters and do not complete wipe back enough to remove from letters).

Flower Pots:  Apply #703 Spiced Brown to Pots and Pat Back.  Highlight with #706 Tangerine.  Shadow around pots with #701 Black.  Signs in pots are already antiqued with #701 Black or can be and wiped back with cotton swab.  Front sign in pot highlight with #709 Topaz.

Birdhouses:  Apply #709 Topaz and #703 Spiced Brown mix to Birdhouse on right and Pat back.  Apply #711 Sapphire to roof and perch and Pat back.  Apply #701 Black to middle birdhouse and wipe back to white.  Apply #705 Ruby to roof.  Apply #707 Evergreen to birdhouse on fence and wipe back.  Highlight with #709 Topaz.  Apply #701 Black to roof and Pat Back.  Shadow around birdhouses with #701 Black.  (See photo)

Watering Can and Spade:  Paint with #972 Silver.  Line can with #923 Intense Blue. 

Flowers:  Apply #712 Amethyst,  #713 Primrose, #705 Ruby, and #710 Sunshine to individual flowers.

Leaves and greenery:  Apply #707 Evergreen and #708 Emerald mix to leaves and Pat Back.  Highlight with #710 Sunshine.

Birds:  Apply #711 Sapphire to birds and Pat Back using a “cotton swab.”  Wipe “Chest” of bird back to White with cotton swab.  Paint eyes #902 Black.  Dab a small amount of  #900 White on bird wings and tail.  Paint Beak of bird with #930 Sun Ray.

Snowlady:  Apply #715 Burgundy to Coat and Top of Hat and Pat Back.  Highlight with #705 Ruby.  Apply #709 Topaz to hat and mitten and gloves and Pat Back. Highlight Mitten and Gloves with #710 Sunshine.  Highlight hat with #700 White.  Apply #701 Black to Collar and Pat Back.  Blush Cheeks with  #713 Primrose.  Paint Eyes #900 White.  Irises #925 Medium Blue, Pupils and Lashes Lines with #902 Black.  Highlight with a small dash of #900 White in black area in each eye.  When dry, apply #971 Gold to coat button, pocket, and line collar.

Trees:  Apply #714 Teal to trees and wipe back.  Highlight with #711 Sapphire.

Finish piece with #761 Perfect Matte Spray and then #976 Winter Snow to areas all over scene as shown in photo and #977 Ultra Glitz in areas of your choice.

(Note:  Use soft cloth or Viva Paper towel to Wipe Back and Pat Back.  Use Cotton Swab for smaller areas.  Look at photo as a guide.)
